Year: 1995
It has been five years since Mimi almost died, that night was terrifying, not only for Roger but for the rest of the Bohemians. They had almost lost Angel earlier that year; they couldn’t almost loose Mimi either. Mimi meant so much to all of them, especially Roger, even though he never admitted his love for her or even had feelings for her. Now five years later, the Bohemians are still in New York City’s East Village and are all still friends, friends for life. The big question is, what are they now up to?
------------------------------------------------
Roger Davis & Mimi Davis:
Roger and Mimi have been married since 1993 and are living down in Mimi’s apartment, which is now theirs. Roger is now in a band, which plays at many local clubs, but mainly one called Club Zero. During the day he works at the multimedia studio owned by Benny. Mimi no longer works at The Cat Scratch Club; she never went back after her near death. She went back to school for Dance. Mimi is one of the backup dancers for Roger’s band, but also works at the Life Café during the day time. Recently, Mimi found out some news and she’s not sure if it's good news or not. She has yet to tell Roger about it.
Angel Dumott Schunard & Tom Collins:
Ever since Angel almost died back in October 1990, Collins has always been over protective of her and Angel is always over protective of him. Collins doesn’t want to lose Angel and she certainly doesn’t want to lose Collins. Angel is an owner of a small boutique in the East Village called ‘Creo en Angeles’, meaning "I believe in Angels." She designs most of the clothing, but also has some help from others. Collins is now back at NYU, teaching Computer Age Philosophy once again. Angel and Collins are not officially married, due to them being gay, but in their hearts and to their friends, they are married.
Maureen Johnson & Joanne Jefferson:
Maureen has finally committed to being with Joanne and Joanne only. No more flirting with women in rubber for Maureen. They are committed for life. Joanne is still a lawyer and has her own law firm. Maureen on the other hand is just working at the Life Café during the day with Mimi and at a local bar at night. Maureen and Joanne are thinking about adoption.
Benny Coffin III & Allison Coffin:
Benny and his wife Allison are still married. They hit a few bumps in the road, but they're still going. Benny is still the landlord of the building in which Roger, Mimi and Mark live, but he keeps it rent free. He found another lot where he could build a multimedia studio. They began building it in the spring of 1990 and it was completed by fall of 1991. It took a lot of time but now it’s where Benny spends most of his time. Benny and Allison have a three year old daughter named Lisa.
Mark Cohen:
Mark is still a filmmaker and still works at Buzzline. He’s now one of their leading cameramen. He has also made a couple documentaries on his own free time. Mark is still single, which bugs him sometimes, though not everyone can see it. He hasn’t exactly met the ‘one’. Not many of his relationships have lasted since Maureen broke up with him.
